Advantage of a MITEX mill roll


Specific designs and individual roller constructions provide solutions for various applications.

Higher performance under pressure: Due to its porosity and adapted hardness the MITEX mill rolls offers higher squeezing efficiency in comparison to conventional rubber rolls. The suction / absorption process after the NIP enhances the squeezing effect.

Materials / Basic materials

  Various basic materials are available for your individual application.   Only fabrics of high standard fleeces are used.


Squeezing rolls

Aqueous Media

Due to its compressible matrix and the resulting absorption mechanism MITEX mill rolls enhance the squeezing effect in comparison to rubber rolls.
  Chemical Media

MITEX mill rolls are also available for alkaline and acidic media. For different pH values Mitex offers specific materials. MITEX technicians will recommend certain coverings according to your process parameters
(up to 20 % (w/w) HCI / H2SO4; 5 % HNO3).
Automotive blank washers

MITEX mill rolls provide an even oil film on metal surfaces in automotive blank washers.

Oiling rolls apply an even oil film on metal surfaces.

De-oiling rolls in Sendzimir mills remove excess processing and milling oil.

Oil and lubricants

MITEX mill rolls are widely used in automotive blank washers as oiling and de-oiling rolls. Also presses and punches show enhanced performance due to MITEX mill rolls.

  Drive, Bridle and Tension rolls

Due to their high coefficient of friction MITEX mill rolls are the ideal coverings for drive, bridle, tension and deflection rolls. Small metal, dust and dirt particels can be absorbed into the mill roll surface and therefore provide a surface protective property. Demages on metal surfaces will be reduced. Due to its coefficient of friction high tensions can be achieved. The control and guiding of cold mill strips is much easier.
Measuring wheels

Aquaplaning will be reduced by using MITEX mill rolls.

  Drive wheels in pipe mills

The high coefficient of friction reduces slippage of drive wheels on oily pipe surfaces.

MITEX Repair Service

With a specific material and mill roll construction a fast and easy repair is possible. In case of damages these areas can be replaced by new material followed by the finishing process.
  (1) Cracks in the roller surface indicate a damage in the entire structure.   (2) Damaged areas are removed.
  (3) The removed areas are replaced by new mill roll inserts.
  (4) The final finish of the repaired roll provides a brandnew roller covering.
